Pe site-ul oficial al celor de la Genoa Walter Zenga este prezentat drept noul antrenor celor de la CFC Genoa.Enrico Preziosi,presedintele genovezilor nu s-a gandit prea mult dupa plecarea fostului antrenor Gian Piero Gasperini la Aston Villa inlocuind-ul pe Martin O`neil.

Prima conferinta de presa al noului antrenor genovez a fost scurta si la obiect:
Am ca obiectiv calificarea intr-o cupa europeana.Vreau sa demonstrez ca merit postul de antrenor al acestei echipe si vreau clasarea intre primele 5 formatii.Am un lot foarte valoros,si sper ca impreuna vom reusi sa facem o performanta notabila.

Fostul mare jucator de fotbal Zinedine Zidane se apuca de antrenorat.Chiar daca a avut oferte de la echipe cu nume in Europa precum Werder Bremen,Galatasaray Istambul,Lazio Roma sau Villarreal el a optat pt Leeds United.Dupa semnarea contractului iata ce a declarat presei:Am optat pt. Leeds fiindca vreau sa incep de jos.Nu vroiam sa ajung la un club mai mare si sa ma fac de ras.Am un singur obiectiv si anume,promovarea in Premier League.

Am hotarat sa jucam patru meciuri amicale inaintea startului de sezon,toate pe teren propriu.

Primul a fost contra echipei romanesti Steaua Bucuresti.Un meci fara prea multe ocazii.Echipele de start:
